We report the results of an observational program to investigate the gamma-ray and optical variability properties of the vRL NLSY1 galaxies listed in the Yuan et al.sample.We have identified CREAM 17 members of the Yuan et al.sample possibly associated with gamma-ray sources based on a combination of their optical polarization and optical variability and their gamma-ray properties.
Eight have previously been associated with Baking Mixes gamma-ray sources. We find nine additional members that we predict are excellent candidates to be associated with gamma-ray sources in the future. All 17 sources have many properties in common with flat spectrum radio quasars (FSRQs), suggesting that they may, in fact, constitute a new subclass of FSRQs.
